Abstract
Atualmente, sistemas que armazenam e gerenciam imagens médicas de forma sistematizadas, tem proporcionado grandes benefícios para a medicina. Esses sistemas são de extrema importância para centros de diagnósticos por imagens, entretanto, as imagens nos possibilita abstrair informações muitas vezes não correlacionadas em laudos textuais. Outro benefício em armazenar imagens, é a criação de um banco de dados de imagens médicas, solucionando questões relacionadas à conservação das imagens.
