All actors involved in the submission and reviewing of papers in the INFOCOMP Journal of Computer Science, such as authors, editors and reviewers, should adhere to publication ethics practices.  We please ask authors, reviewers and editors to consider the following ethical guidelines before submitting and reviewing papers to INFOCOMP:

1)      INFOCOMP Journal of Computer Science only publishes original papers that demonstrate technical excellence, relevance, good readability, clarity, and organization.  The journal also accepts in-depth literature surveys that clearly deepens the knowledge of a certain field within computer science by a systematic and critical analysis of current research.

2)      All papers submitted to INFOCOMP must have an original contribution that has not been published before elsewhere.

3)      Extended versions of papers published in conferences can be considered for publication. However, the new paper should include a new contribution, and the paper should clearly acknowledge and cite the previously published paper and highlight the differences between the current and the published paper.  As a rule commonly used in the area, new papers should add at least 30% of new information in relation to the previous one.

4)      Translated versions of papers published in another language are not considered original, and therefore are not accepted by INFOCOMP Journal of Computer Science.

5)      Papers submitted to INFOCOMP Journal of Computer Science should not be under consideration for publication in any other venue (be it another journal, conference, book chapter or others).

6)      All content in the paper (including text, images, graphs, and others) should not breach any copyright.

7)      The authors in charge of the submission must have formal agreement from all co-authors of the paper before submitting it to our journal.  When applicable, authors should have formal agreement from employers or funding institutions that demand this before publishing their papers.

9)  When submitting their papers, authors give consent for their papers to be analyzed by plagiarism checking tools.

10)  INFOCOMP Journal of Computer Science is very strict to deal with plagiarism, considered a very serious breach of publication ethics.  Before final acceptance for publication, all papers will be checked for plagiarism using the iThenticate system.

11)  Data fabrication or data falsification in submitted or published papers is considered a serious offence of publication ethics.

12)  Reviewers and editors should carefully consider if they do not have any conflicts of interest before proceeding with the review of papers analyzed by them.  Editors should verify such issues before forwarding it for blind review.  Even during blind review, if reviewers have any reason to believe they know the authors or have any conflict of interest, they should let the editors know immediately and refuse to perform the review.
